For the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, observed every year on 24 April, the European External Action Service launched a social media campaign to explain why #MultilateralismMatters.

On 14 December 2022, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution at its seventy-seventh session to proclaim 30 March as International Day of Zero Waste, to be observed annually. It follows other resolutions focused on waste, including “ End plastic pollution: towards an internationally legally binding instrument ”, adopted at the United Nations Environment Assembly on 2 March 2022...

The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), the UN’s main policy-making body on drugs, convened on 14-15 March 2024 a High-Level Segment ahead of its 67 th regular session. This special segment gathered a number of high-level officials and heads of UN bodies to review the progress made in the implementation of the commitments set out in the Ministerial Declaration adopted by the Commission in 2019.

On the 22 nd February 2024 the Executive Secretary (ES) of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), Dr. Robert Floyd, and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to International Organisations in Vienna, Ambassador Carl Hallergård, inaugurated a permanent CTBTO exhibition at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) .
